








The journey takes you from the desert landscapes of Djanet to the hidden oasis of Ihrir. Ihrir is one of
the rarest places in the Sahara Desert where water, greenery and local life are forming incredible
harmony. Imagine being one with the wind blowing over the sand dunes, taking grains of sand from
their tops and carry them all the way to the oasis, while reshaping the colourful rock formations. On
the way, you pass through canyons, valleys, and rock formations, discovering a quieter and peaceful
side of the desert. In the oasis you swim in natural pools surrounded by palm trees and experience
the slow rhythm of oasis life.
The tour blends nature, simple adventure, encounters with Tuareg culture, offering a refreshing and
unique perspective of the Sahara. It’s pure desert harmony taking over all your senses. Savor every

Day 1 – Arrival in Djanet
Arrival in Djanet, welcome by Tuareg guides, and transfer to Tigherghert. First immersion into the
desert with a bivouac under the stars, tea around the fire, and a quiet evening in the Sahara.
Day 2 – Essendilène Canyon
Journey to Essendilène canyon, walking through palm groves, water sources, and striking rock
formations. Time to rest in the shade and enjoy the freshness of this unique place in the desert.
Evening around the fire with music and storytelling.
Day 3 – Dider Rock Engravings & Journey to Ihrir
Visit the prehistoric rock engravings at Dider, discovering traces of ancient desert life. Continue the
journey deeper into the desert towards Ihrir, passing through changing landscapes. Overnight in a
peaceful natural setting.
Day 4 – Oasis of Ihrir
Explore the oasis of Ihrir, one of the most beautiful hidden places in the Sahara. Walk among lush
vegetation, discover natural pools (gueltas), and enjoy time to swim and relax. Meet local families
and experience the rhythm of oasis life.
Day 5 – Trekking & Cultural Encounters
Easy walk around the oasis and nearby landscapes. Share simple moments with locals, enjoy
traditional meals, and take part in tea rituals. Evening with Tuareg music, stories, and time to connect.
Day 6 – Desert Valleys & Dunes
Return through the desert, crossing valleys such as Tikoubawen, Timghas, and In Mourouden.
Changing scenery of rocks and dunes along the way. Final bivouac in an open landscape, with a special evening under the stars.
Day 7 – Return to Djanet
Return to Djanet. Time for a final moment together before farewell and transfer to the airport for
departure.

Important notes:
Accommodation based on twin-sharing in hotel.
During the tour in Sahara accommodation is in the tents (1-2 people in the tent). Tents and matrasses are provided. Sleeping bag is recommended and not provided. The camps do not provide water for washing or showers.

– Take a pocket or head torch and a power bank for charging your phone or camera.
– A warm sleeping bag and pillow can make nights more comfortable.
– A large scarf is useful against wind and desert sand (you can also buy one on arrival).
– Wet wipes and toilet paper are practical for days without a bathroom.
– Don’t forget travel insurance.
