Itinerary
Day 1 – Algiers
Welcome to Algeria, a country where history, culture, and stunning landscapes meet. Begin your journey in Algiers with a visit to the historic Casbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with winding alleys, traditional houses, and centuries of stories. Enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant and discover the flavours of Algerian cuisine. In the afternoon, explore the beautiful Hamma Botanical Garden, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city, before visiting the Martyrs’ Memorial, one of Algeria’s most important national landmarks, offering panoramic views over the capital.
Day 2 – Djemila & Constantine
After breakfast, travel through the scenic landscapes of northern Algeria to Djemila, one of the best-preserved Roman archaeological sites in North Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander among ancient temples, forums, basilicas, and remarkable mosaics while learning about the city’s rich history. Later, continue to Constantine, where you will spend the night in Algeria’s spectacular “City of Bridges.”
Day 3 – Constantine
Discover Constantine, dramatically perched above deep gorges and connected by its famous suspended bridges. Enjoy breathtaking views while exploring one of the country’s most fascinating cities. Visit the Museum of Constantine to gain insight into the region’s history and cultural heritage. In the evening, board your flight to Djanet, the gateway to the Sahara Desert and the beginning of your desert adventure.
Day 4 – Djanet / Red Tadrart
After a relaxing morning at the hotel, set off in a 4×4 vehicle towards the legendary Red Tadrart, one of the most breathtaking regions of the Sahara. Famous for its extraordinary red sandstone formations, towering dunes, and dramatic landscapes, this area offers some of the most spectacular desert scenery in the world. As the sun begins to set, watch the colours of the desert transform into shades of gold, orange, and deep red.
Day 5 – From El-Berdj to Moulenaga
Wake up surrounded by the silence and beauty of the desert. After breakfast, continue your journey through Red Tadrart towards Moulenaga. Along the way, discover stunning rock formations sculpted by wind over thousands of years, vast dune fields, and ever-changing desert landscapes. Enjoy the unique feeling of travelling through one of the most remote and untouched regions of the Sahara.
Day 6 – From Moulenaga to Tin Merzouga
Today’s adventure takes you deeper into the heart of the desert. Travel through spectacular scenery towards Tin Merzouga, where impressive dunes rise from the surrounding landscape. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, endless horizons, and unforgettable views that make this region one of the highlights of the Tadrart experience. In the evening, relax beneath a sky filled with countless stars.
Day 7 – From Tin Merzouga to In Tehak
Continue your exploration of the Sahara as you journey towards In Tehak. Along the route, discover hidden valleys, remarkable rock formations, and traces of the region’s ancient past. This part of the desert reveals the incredible diversity of the Sahara, where every turn unveils new colours, shapes, and landscapes shaped by nature.
Day 8 – From In Tehak to Ajlati
Travel towards Ajlati, passing through some of the most beautiful desert scenery in southern Algeria. The journey offers countless opportunities to admire the silence and grandeur of the Sahara while experiencing the timeless rhythm of life in the desert. Enjoy another day immersed in one of the most extraordinary natural environments on Earth.
Day 9 – Djanet
Return to Djanet and reconnect with city life after your days in the wilderness. Explore the town, discover its unique atmosphere, and visit the local market where Tuareg culture comes alive through traditional crafts, clothing, and daily life. In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Algiers.
Day 10 – Algiers
On your final day, visit the Great Mosque of Algiers, one of the largest mosques in the world and a remarkable example of contemporary Islamic architecture. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation, shopping, or exploring the capital at your own pace before your transfer to the international airport.

Accommodation based on twin-sharing in hotel.
During the tour in Sahara accommodation is in the tents (1-2 people in the tent). Tents and matrasses are provided. Sleeping bag is recommended and not provided. The camps do not provide water for washing or showers.

Practical Recommendations
– Wear respectful clothing: long sleeves and long trousers are recommended.
– Protect yourself from the sun with a hat, scarf, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
– Bring moisturizing cream or Vaseline for dry skin and lips.
– Carry a personal first aid kit (bandages, disinfectant, basic medicines).
– Take a pocket or head torch and a power bank for charging your phone or camera.
– A warm sleeping bag and pillow can make nights more comfortable.
– A large scarf is useful against wind and desert sand (you can also buy one on arrival).
– Wet wipes and toilet paper are practical for days without a bathroom.
